One of the ways to help see Earth Café and the Environment Centre happen in Rochdale Borough is to ‘buy’ a piece of the jigsaw.
The jigsaw picture is centred on the Heart of the
Cooperative movement in Toad Lane, Rochdale. It is a map of the local area based
on the Toad Lane Cooperative address and radiating outwards. We are hoping to be Rochdale's Green Pioneers.
Each piece can be ‘bought’ for a minimum donation of £10 (ten pounds), a list of all people making donations will be available in our paperwork and when we find premises, on the wall.
If you have a particular street that you would like to ‘buy’ please let us know, clearly it will be based on the first to ask and ‘buy’ so if you do have a preference it is best to let us know as soon as possible.
We will send you a thank you certificate of your donation and your random jigsaw piece (unless specified) and will keep you up to date about our progress in making Rochdale Borough a greener, environmentally sustainable and vibrant place.
By asking individuals to make this small donation and become a piece of the jigsaw we will be able to secure match funding and provide the community with a space that is for the community.
It also demonstrates the commitment of the community that such a space is needed.
Initially the jigsaw map will cover central Rochdale, with maps of Heywood, Middleton and the Pennines to follow.
