Founder of Rochdale Freegle in 2005 (ex Freecycle)
We now have nearly 3000 members / households that are saving good stuff from ending up in landfill in our town, join us for Free Gifting, Locally, Easily!
Vice Chair of School Governor's at Broadfield Community Primary School.
Friends of Broadfield Park member.
Studying part time for a degree with the Open University in Sociology and the Environment.
Single Mum to two great young boys who are busy designing our Children's sustainable play and learning area for the Café!
Avid believer and advocate that local change impacts globally, small changes, BIG difference and that we are ALL responsible for the place that we call home, Planet Earth! Let's start by making a difference that we can see, to Rochdale Borough. We can make changes that impact on our environment and our pockets, saving money through reducing landfill charges and changes to our homes that reduce energy consumption. I am also a big believer in the strength of Community. I hope to engage and embrace our wonderful and diverse population in a project that is being started and run with our whole community in mind. Lots of previous experience in political and local community campaigns, engagement and making a difference!
